7 Tips to Beat the Monday Morning Blues
We all hate Mondays just as much as we love Sundays! This can really lead to a drop in our productivity and our overall performance in office. We give you some tips that can help you stay clear of the Monday morning blues.
1. Don’t “live” for the weekend
Don’t drag yourself to work through the weekdays just because you want to enjoy the weekend. This tendency of living from weekend to weekend will make Monday morning blues even worse. You will start expecting a lot of good and exciting things from your weekends and will start ignoring all the good things that happen to you during the week.
2. Have a mid-week break
If you think five days is too long a duration to go without a break, then you can plan something with your friends in the middle of the week. Try leaving the office early and catch up with your friends or just do something that makes you happy. By doing this you will not feel so spent by the end of the week.
3. Sleep early on Sunday
Although it is very tempting to party till late hours on Sunday, it would be better if you avoid that. One of the main reasons for the Monday morning blues is the lack of sleep. If you do not get enough sleep the previous night, then you will spend your Monday feeling lethargic and tired.
4. Do not drink excessively on Sunday night
Even if you are partying on a Sunday, try not to drink too much. You can drink as much as you want on a Saturday and keep Sundays for just pure fun. Having a hangover on a Monday is the last thing you need and it will only add to your Monday morning blues.
