8 Tips for Hosting a Great Christmas Party
Festivals come as good excuses to throw and attend parties. If it’s high time since you had a bash and are nervous about how to go about party planning for an Xmas soiree, we have lined up 8 tips that you can make use of.
1. Give invitations in little stockings
Begin your party with a bang and create a buzz with your invitations itself. You can simply place little ready-made invitation cards inside stockings and there you have a perfectly nice festive invitation.
2. Add the mistletoe
Make sure you place mistletoes at specific point of your venue, like at a doorway or near a window. Remember the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe? Well you can have a fun game of passing the parcel where 2 people who get the parcel have to share a small peck under the mistletoe.
3. Eggnog and Yule log
Since it’s a Christmas party, the food should also reflect the festive state of mind and be traditional. Serve eggnog as the main drink and cut the Yule log as the clock strikes 12 on the eve of Xmas. You can also serve guests the traditional Christmas pudding, turkey roast and plum cake.
4. Invite at least 2 weeks before
Christmas season is a very busy time when most people have plans lined up with friends and family. Make sure you get them to block their date for you by inviting them at least a fortnight prior to the party.
