A good way to judge whether a girl sees you as a potential love interest, and is comfortable in your presence, is by judging her reaction when you sit close to her. If she does not move back and in fact leans on you while talking, you have struck gold buddy.

Girls generally only touch those people whom they trust or find cute and fun. Even in a joking way, if she touches your hand, pats your back, ruffles your hair, etc., be assured that she likes you.
