6. Be mysterious

You can compliment your girlfriend, but don’t go over the top. To make a lasting impression on your date, you need to get into the mystery mode. Do not divulge every little detail about your life. Remember, it’s the first date we’re talking about. It is way too early to talk about wedding or other future happenings.

7. Don’t talk about a second date

As a thumb rule, most guys try to rope in the girl for a second date on the first date itself. Some girls may like it, but not all. Instead, drop her a hint by saying something like,’ Hoping to see you soon’ or anything along those lines. This will show her that you are not desperate and she will be intrigued.

8. Drop her home

After a nice walk, ask her if you can drop her home. No matter where she stays, it is gentlemanly if you drop her home.

9. Touch her briefly while saying good-bye

Don’t kill the excitement by being all touchy-feely throughout the date. Instead, do not touch her at all and finally when it’s time to depart, give her a firm yet a brief touch on the hand or her forehead. Keep things sensuous and attractive, so that she is left musing over the encounter all night.
