5 Reasons Why No Means No

The consistent rise in the number of rape and eve-teasing cases around the world is a definite cause for concern. Irrespective of which race, caste, color, or culture you come from, you must respect a woman’s decision when she says ‘No’ to you. When a woman says ‘No’, she is simply exercising her right as a human being to not agree to something. There is a growing need for men to understand that ‘No’ means ‘No’ and nothing else! 1. She has the right to say it

Every woman has the right to refuse your advances if she is not comfortable. She might say no to going on a date with you. Even if you feel you are indulging in some healthy flirting, a woman has every right to express her discomfort and say no to you. At moments like these, you must respect the boundaries that she has set for you.

2. You need to respect her decision

You cannot force a woman to do something that she is not willing to do. No matter what kind of relationship you share with the woman, you must respect her right to make decisions for herself and say ‘No’ to things that she does not want to do.

3. You need to respect her body

A woman has certain limits as to the extent to which she would allow someone to be physically close to her. Even if you are good friends with a woman, you cannot become physically intimate with her if she does not want you to. You must maintain some physical distance when you are talking to her and respect her body.
