Whether or not you want to keep secrets from your girlfriend is your choice. But if you decide to keep certain secrets, here are some of the common ones that boyfriends keep from their girlfriends.

1. Meaningless past relationships

Boyfriends commonly keep their meaningless past relationships a secret from their girlfriend. It is one thing to tell your girlfriend about a past relationship in which you were committed, but it is another to talk to her about flings and other short relationships. Depending on the phase of your relationship, you may want to keep this a secret until a later point in time.

2. Your dislike for any of her quirky habits

You can keep your dislike for some of her habits a secret unless it is absolutely urgent and necessary to tell it to her. For example, there is no point in letting your girlfriend know that you hate it when she uses a particular word again and again. Such things are non-issues which are best left not discussed unless you are really bothered by them. You may want to keep your income and bank account balances a secret until you have reached a certain point in your relationship. Money matters are at best, told in moderation during the initial phases of a relationship. Income levels are generally discussed once two partners are extremely comfortable baring all their life secrets to each other.
