5 Reasons Why Boys Hate The Twilight Series
The Twilight saga has received polar reviews- while some have enjoyed it so much that they utter disappointment when the series ended. Stephen Meyer will be much missed! However, a part of this earth- strong, male dominion finds it flimsy and cheesy. Especially men interested in supernatural or mythical fantasy fiction felt traumatized by the onslaught of the Twilight series. Here are few reasons why boys hate the Twilight saga:
1. Sparkling vampires
Vampires are most afraid of the sun light. If they are exposed to sunlight, they immediately perish into nothingness. But in this series, the protagonist seems to not face that as a problem. The winter fog helps him get by attending his high school and romancing a college girl. However, when the sun is bright out, only his identity is at stake! He starts to glimmer and glitter like a statue made of stones and diamonds.
2. Senseless sex scenes
Through the vampire series the protagonist are incapable of kissing his girlfriend without pulling out his fangs with a deep urge to turn her into his dinner! He cannot make out with her and when finally he does, the room is destroyed as though huffed and puffed by a big bad wolf and the girl is so bruised that she has no recollection of her rocky love making.
3. Destroying the vampire myth
Vampires are sexy, grey characters, incapable of love. They are lustful and only out to draw blood and the last thing they do is glow like neon bulbs. Perhaps men feel that the inventor of Dracula, Bram Stoker must be shuddering in his grave!
