5 Tips to Dress Right for an Interview
4. Sport a well groomed look
Sometimes the clothes are all well managed but the look is still scruffy. Trim your hair and mustache and shave your stubble if you do not keep a beard. Comb your hair and if it is very greasy, wash it. Have a well groomed, clean and sober look. Make sure there are no stains on your clothes. Spray on a little after-shave & deodorant. Body odor should be avoided at all cost. Try to wear clothes which breathe as opposed to clothes which do not soak up perspiration and give off a bad odor.
5. Don’t forget the add-ons
Make sure your cell phone is switched off when you go in to give your interview. All the necessary paper work should be neatly stored in the correct order in a file or folder. Do not take out pieces of paper from the pockets of your blazer or trousers. If you tend to perspire a lot, keep a clean handkerchief – neatly folded – handy, and use as needed.
