4. You love artsy movies and music

This is one of the very common tell tale signs of being a hipster. Hipsters view alternative cinema and read indie books as a way of showing rebellion to all things popular. You will often spot them at film festivals rather then cinema halls and music festivals rather than musical concerts. Most book and film titles on the shelf of a hipster’s home are likely to be obscure and unheard of. You could call yourself a hipster if you have a fancy for such things.

5. You don’t reek of money

If you are a hipster, you will never reek of money even though you have esoteric and high flying choices. One of the traits of hipsters is that they never look rich by the clothes they wear or the way they carry themselves. This is because they associate being rich with succumbing to the mainstream. The overall appearance and behavior of a hipster may be trendy, but not affluent.
