7 Tips To study well

5. Take Regular Breaks

Your brain needs regular breaks. You can’t be just cramming information endlessly. So make it a point to read up a particular chapter or concept, and then take a break of about 10 minutes to let the information sink in. Then go ahead and take up another chapter or concept. Also, remember to keep drinking water regularly in those breaks. Walk a little, get some fresh air, and then come back to your desk. Let your eyes and mind be away from books for sometime before you sit down to do another round of memorizing.

6. Take Mock Tests

A good way of testing whether you’ve studied decently or not is to take up mock tests. These sample tests are available in the market, based on your syllabus. Or you could also find a compilation of previous years’ exam papers in your school or college library. You can even ask your professors to help you with some mock tests, which you should take regularly to know your level of preparation. These tests not only help you to know which areas you are weak in and still need to work more on, but also make you more confident about your writing speed, your timing etc., making you less worried during the actual exam.

7. Stop Panicking

We know it’s easier said than done. But try to consciously avoid negative thoughts from coming in your head by distracting yourself. Think of good things, and feel confident about yourself. Think logically; if you are prepared well, no exam is going to be tough for you. So spend all your available time in proper preparation rather than panicking.

Follow these tips for sometime, and soon, they will become second nature to you. Studying well is not difficult if you are organized in your approach and are confident about yourself.
