7 Workout Resolutions to Take this Year
5. Don’t let your diet lead you astray
You may be spending many hours every week in the gym, but all your efforts could be going to waste if you don’t get a grip over your diet. Make a resolution this year that you will eat healthy and home cooked meals more often. Promise yourself that you will count your calories and think before you feast on those midnight snacks and junk food takeaways.
6. Get enough sleep for recovery
To give your muscles rest after every workout, promise yourself that you will get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. It may be acceptable if you skip a day or two during the week, but don’t allow your body the lack of recovery time on a regular basis. You will only see the results of your workout if you sleep well and give your body enough rest.
7. Keep a log of your progress
The most exciting part of making a New Year resolution is tracking your progress. Keep a log or make a chart of your measurements and weight. Update the statistics weekly to see how you are going. Use even the slightest of changes as motivation and inspiration to get the body you always wanted.
