8 Ways to Become a Better Boss
5. Value your employees’ inputs and opinions
To be a better boss you must learn to welcome opinions and ideas of employees. When they know they have a say at something they will put all efforts to think for the best of ideas and bring it forward. It creates a great competitive spirit and brings out the best in them.
6. Acknowledge the hard work of your employees
Sometimes there are bosses who take credit for the work done by employees in front of their superiors to get a pat on their backs. It’s a horrible thing to do. You need to acknowledge the ideas that your employees bring forth to the table.
7. Be sympathetic towards their problems
You cannot ask your employees to work under critical circumstances. If they are sick and have personal commitments, you need to show sympathy towards them.
8. Never humiliate them in public
Humiliating your employees in public can be very scathing. This shows you have no control on your temper and exploit your position. If you need to tell them something, say it in private.
